The Design Icon Apartments are an ideal option when it comes to short-term accommodation. They give you the freedom to live like a local – you get more privacy (we do come and clean once a week), more room, and you can cook for yourself (if you want).

The apartments are perfectly woven around NewActon’s three flagship buildings – South and Nishi. There are a number of different types but they all share the common Hotel Hotel thread with interiors overseen by Hotel Hotel’s aesthetic curator Don Cameron and Ken Neale (our favourite furniture and object collector).

NewActon is a lakeside urban village and Canberra’s arts and culture precinct. Here you’ll find some of Canberra’s best cafes, bars and restaurants, bakery, Palace Electric Cinema, meandering gardens, the Nishi Gallery, an outdoor cinema in the summer time, as well as a hair salon and beauty spot, a gym and pilates place. NewActon is a few minutes walk to the CBD, the theatre district, and the lake.

The Design Icon Apartments are managed by Hotel Hotel, so their wonderful People People will be there to assist you during your stay.

Car Parking Arrangement

The easiest way to park if you are coming by car is valet - it’s $40 a night, just pull up to the main entrance at 25 Edinburgh Avenue and come and see us at concierge.

Otherwise there is public parking, below Hotel Hotel in the Wilson car park in the Nishi building basement, entrance via Phillip Law Street. Note the carpark is not operated by Hotel Hotel and is subject to availability. We can validate your ticket to get 50% off their standard parking rates, just bring your ticket to concierge or reception to validate.
