Mason Wines is a family owned vineyard, situated in the Granite Belt winery region that surrounds Stanthorpe in Queensland, dedicated to producing a wine of which Queensland can be proud. Our aim is to develop quality wines with distinct regional characteristics.

In 1997 the we began our search for land in South East Queensland's Granite Belt on which to establish a vineyard. We only looked at land which had a long history of commercial stone fruit production and was known to be well drained with deep soil.

We selected a stone fruit farm in Rees Road, Ballandean which we believed would be ideal for a vineyard. In 1998 we set about removing the stone fruit trees and establishing vines. We planted the best grafted vines available. In 2000 we bought a second stone fruit farm, situated on the corner of Booth Lane and the New England Highway, for conversion to a vineyard.

Mason House

The Mason House is situated on a rise within our Booth Lane Vineyard with panoramic views of the vineyard and the Ballandean Valley. The house has an inspirational design modelled on Cape Dutch architecture from the Stellenbosch wine region of South Africa.
This secluded luxurious accommodation features polished wooden floors, Axminster carpet, a wood burning fire place, heated bathroom floors, a fully equipped kitchen with granite bench tops, a media room and a free standing bath in the ensuite of the main bedroom.

Ree’s Rd House

Situated in the middle of our Ree's Rd vineyard this recently renovated house is full of character. The house is very private tucked away in the vineyard separating you from the worries of the world.

It has three bedrooms and can sleep up to 8 people. Two of the bedrooms have ensuits, one with a king bed and a bath and the other has a Queen bed. There is a further separate bathroom making a total of 3 full bathrooms. The third bedroom contains a queen bed and 2 single beds. There is a large fireplace in the living room and polished wood floors through out the house. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a high definition TV in the lounge room.

The house has a large deck which overlooks the vineyard and contains an outdoor fireplace.

Administration House

Situated on our Mount Tamborine property this recently renovated house is close to all local attractions. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 with queen beds and one with 2 single beds. It sleeps up to 8 people. One of the queen bedrooms has an ensuite and there is a separate bathroom which contains a toilet and free standing bath as well there is a separate toilet. This gives a total of 3 toilets and 2 bathrooms. It has a fully equipped kitchen and an open fire place. It is only 100 metres from our restaurants and cellar door. Surrounding the house are landscaped gardens and vineyard. The house is surrounded by tranquility. It derives its name from it’s previous life as the administration offices before it was completely renovated.

Terms & Conditions

The terms are one nights deposit is paid at the time of the booking. The remainder is collected by credit card payment approximately 2 weeks before your arrival. Mason wines maintains the right to charge for any damage in excess of normal wear and tear. The house is to be left in a clean state and mason wines will charge a cleaning fee if the house is left in an unsatisfactory state.

Cancellation policy; The deposit is only refunded if the house can be re-booked for the entire period of the cancelled booking and the cancellation is not within 14 days of the booking. There will be no refunds for any cancellation with in 14 days of arrival.
