This booking system is for travel agents only. Contracted agent charging and cancellation policy applies.
Located in an extensive private habitat reserve, Huon Bush Retreats is central to all the attractions of the Huon Valley just 50 minutes drive south from Hobart. A multi award winning, carbon positive (green globe light accredited) retreat offering guests a choice of contemporary, self contained cabins, deluxe tipees and private campsites against an inspiring backdrop of Tasmanian native forest.
Relax by the fire with a glass of local wine or take in the view from the deck surrounded by native birds and wildlife. With 5km of interpreted walking tracks through rainforest, to a hidden waterfall and a mountaintop, you will not miss internet or television here. Your cabin is comfortably catered for with gas cooking facilities, fresh rainwater, solar powered lights*, an eco-friendly composting toilet, a cosy wood heater and a private outdoor bath.
*Huon Bush Retreats is a true retreat; Access is via 4km winding gravel road with a steep 500-meter section. Electricity is 12-volt solar power: phones and cameras can be charged at reception. A c.d. player and radio is provided, accommodation is TV. free. 12-volt hairdryer is available on request.

We welcome your booking on the following basis:
· Full payment required at time of booking.
· By law all of our accommodation is non-smoking indoors. Additonal charges will apply for evidence of smoking indoors, candle wax removal, excess or deliberate damage or breakages greater than fair wear and tear.
- Prices are calculated for two people in one bed or four people in two beds. Extra people or extra beds can be added at $40/nt if necessary.

When you book with us, we hold the accommodation for you so if you cancel we have to charge you. On discounted rates, full payment on booking, no refunds, no changes.
On full price bookings, cancellations will incur a minimum $50 administration fee. We will try to resell. The earlier you advise us, the better the chance that we can resell. If we resell at a lower price, we additionally charge you the difference.
Cancellations over 1 month in advance, we charge you:
- a flat $50 administration charge.
Less than 1 month but more than 7 days, we charge you the lower of either:
- 50% of reserved services if unable to resell, or
- the $50 administration fee plus the difference if we resell for a lower price.
Less than 7 days, we charge you the lower of either:
- 100% of reserved services if unable to resell, or
- the $50 administration fee plus the difference if we resell for a lower price.
No Show, we charge you:
- total cost of reserved services.
We may use third-party service providers to process your personal information on our behalf for the purposes of this booking. For example, we may share some information about you with these third parties so that they can contact you directly by email (for example: to obtain post stay reviews about your travel experience).
